Yes, you can run BB Enterprise on the Domino Server and there's not much of a performance hit with low numbers of users. Be aware that this could affect your upgrade schedule and your DRP/Backup/Restore options.

I'm not sure if BB Enterprise runs on 8.x yet... They keep talking about a patch in March, but I haven't seen it.
